Do you have the Bose system in your car? If so, it's possible that your amps are blown.

This sounds like a ground loop problem... The Bose transmission line system is fantastic... keep it. Replace the internal speakers maybe... upgrade the wiring.

I'd say ground too. Its like when you plug a guitar cable into an amp, and then put your tongue to the end.

I agree with Mahjik. I had 2 amps repaired from these guys -- and afterwards, they come with a lifetime warranty.

An alternative is to buy a used system off the forums -- I know for a fact that there are a few people selling stock Bose amps/speakers.

If you ever heard the stock Bose system with a better headunit, you will realize that it is a very nice setup. It fills all the ranges, while also maintaining quality under high volume (not volumes that will make your ears bleed, but high enough to muffle the motor). If you don't plan on bumping Rap at excessive volumes that will force others to listen to your music, the stock Bose system is fine.
