Let me offer my insight.


I have two Hollywood Excursion DVC 12" subs in the back of my FC. They are powered by an SPLIII CRM16002 amp (800w RMS). They produce entirely too much bass for my taste. I have to keep the gain below 75% and the bass boost off in order to enjoy my music. Sucks, don't it?

 

Ok, judging by what you've got picked out, you either:

A-know what you're talking about and don't need to get advice from others
or
B-have lots of $ and asked your local high end stereo place what their best system would be and they know more than people on here

In either case, don't listen to anyone (well maybe I've seen 1 or 2 intelligent responses so far) in this thread, this isn't the brightest car audio forum I have to say.

Anyway, I LOVE that system you got picked out, I just started hearing Focal systems lately and they sound just beautiful IMO. For those ignorant people out there, yes Focal > JL. And I'm not saying that because I don't like JL, I have 2 12"ers of theirs in my hatch right now that I love, but I know I would like 2 Focals much better. If you do get that, let us know how you do if you decide to compete at all, and some SPL #s are always fun to see.
