ok here is the answer to my own question sylvania 1822 has 2.1 MSCD(candlepower) or the 1889,1891,1893 @ 2 MSCD. however, i know we have two different sizes back there. oh well, i will post back. that way should anyone need the info it will be available in the search.

2825 is the brightest bulb at 4 Candlepower, almost double the standard 194.
the problem i am having is finding the original number for the smaller bulbs, which as I found out is the weak link in the instrument cluster lighting. I am gonna have to spend some time at the light rack over at the autoparts store.
The Toshiba number seems to be a14v3w I am trying to find the sylvania equivalent so I can then find a brighter alternative.
I'll post back
EDIT: Actually I think I just found the # it should be the 2723 @1.48MSCD. It is the brightest t-1 1/2 base bulb sylvania offers.
