Honestly, it would look pretty decent minus that lower lip on it. The lip, to me, just pushes it over the edge. Doesnt help that im not a fan of the Bomex kit tho...just the opion ya requested

Did Bomex actually make the lowest intakes useful, routing to the front brakes? I know some kits do that.
I think you should get some different rims that will complement the kit though. Bronze looks good with red. Try these:

Yeah good one, any way the kit is almost all done gettin prefited. Next week it could see paint toward the end of the week. I am tryin to find out how i can paint my whole car in that same color as the JDM 99 spec and up, Red color. I need like a sample or something. Can anyone help me?
could you explain what you said before about "refiberglassing" the parts that you cut out? I've always thought the Apex'i bumper would look alot better without a thin bar going across the middle and wondered what it would take to get it removed.

Well what the fiberglasser would have to do is, first cut away the old piece. Then sand it smooth to the point so it looks like there is no raised part. Then take 2 sheets of fiber glass and like make a strip and cover the hole and resin them on. Then take one more piece and wrap it around both sides and resin it again. Once dry sand it smooth. And ur done. I wounldnt do it your self. You would need a good firberglass guy to pull it off. When ever you put a fiberglass bodykit on. There is always **** you need to fiberglass just a little to make it fit right.
Serious question. Does fiberglass flex a little before it breaks. The reason I ask is, what if you tap the nose into somthing (parking strip/curb)? Would the nose flex and possible result in some kind of cracking where the touch up work was done to remove the "thin bars"?

It will flex, Just not alot. In spots where there are fold, like where the fiber glass is more sturder, If you like bumped into a crub hard enought i would break. But if like you pushed on a flat part of the fiber glass it would flex alot before it would break. If you did the "thin bar" removal, and hit something i dont think that the modification would be affected. Becuase it would become part of the bumper. Like fiber glass has the characteristics of real glass, it will flex, but if you put pressure on one spot it will break. Now with that said no one can help me on my paint problem?
I like the kit except for the front bumper. For example I find the bomex rear bumper much nicer then CWest, sideskirts are pretty much the same, but that front bumper - I just dont like it. CWest one is much better IMHO.
But I must admit it looks acceptable when you drop the car... otherwise its just too far from the ground at the front.
Just my $0.02

Well i still am lookin for any info on how to get my car JDM red. I am on hold with Mazda USA right now, and they just gave me the number to RX-7Club.com they say? I didnt know that the forum had a phone number. Its prob the number to RX7store.net. But i will give it a try.
Well i went to the body shop today and picked out the color. Couldnt get the JDM color i wanted
But it will be alright. They are gonna jam the sides and rear then i get them back and i put them on the car. Then the whole car get sprayed. ET should be 3 weeks. Cuz they have 2 painters, an old guy (really good) and a new younger guy (good but not as good as the old guy) The old guy i guess is really ****, so thats why i told the owner i wanted him cuz he would be like that. And he agreed with me and said he wanted him on the project too but he didnt know if i wanted to wait 3 weeks till he was free. So yeah we will see in 3-4 weeks i hope.

If you wanted a color that was available on a Japanese market car, you should have looked up the name of the color, gone to an automotive paint store (or body shop) and looked up the U.S. models for the same manufacturer and year (or previous years) in their paint sample book. Chances are, since manufacturers only use a limited number of colors per year, a U.S.-bound car was also painted that color, even if it wasn't the same model. You also could have picked any color that caught your eye.
BTW, "JDM red" is the same "Vintage Red" that all red FDs have been painted with, up to and including the '02 Spirit R.
