And that should bother me why, exactly?

As for rice... who's swapping in 650+ horsepower and who's grafting on an ugly body kit?

damn everyon relax, why does everything on this forum have to turn into a flame war, its stupid. Guess what guys, this is a computer!!! Any idea how stupid it is to let someone get you to the point that you start an argument online????? Let it go. Jimlab is swapping because thats his choice, and he is designing and making his own parts which I can relate to. I build, paint, design, fiberglass, and modfying everything on my cars and the cars in the surrounding areas myself with basically no outside help. If you like your body kit, then keep it and feel good about it. I can tell you one thing though, DONT ASK PEOPLES OPINIONS! You never get the response you want and it only leads to trouble which ruins your reputation on the forum itself, so when you need help you could be ignored. Alot of people on here are straight performance, some are loyal to all stock, some are appearance people. And although jimlab and I havent talked ive been on the forum for 3 years and seen his posts and know that the guy is a very intelligent man, hopefully smart enough to just drop this whole thing cause its not worth it.

It shouldn't "bother" you BUT it should deter you from bashing on someone elses project that WILL run come snowmelt!! Honestly JIM you look like more of an *** everytime you post.(which I know you do not care about, you've made that clear in other posts) As for your 650 hp engine...Good luck, I hope it eventually works out good for you. One point i see here though is, You should specifically relate to SpoolinRX because when you posted about your conversion you got flames comin from the left and the right. YET you stood strong and basically told people to **** off after you explained your reasoning for the swap.( Now don't go crazy here Jim, I actually like and have thought of doing the swap for awhile. For a fun/odd project) So my point is why do you(and others) feel it's needed to bring him down? There are ALOT of people that would love to sit here and bag on your V8/Rx7 floortable. Just leave him alone. Are you that bored that you have nothing better to do than bug him about his body kit? Why don't you go work on YOUR car or go bug YOUR parts suppliers that keep screwing you over. On a side note: You may want to think WHY all these parts suppliers have told you to **** off after a while of hearing your ****. Just my take. Now all this preaching being done, I would like to say that I do not even know SpoolinRX, OR you for that matter. So my opinion here is unbiased. He has posted in the correct section for body kits. And if you look at the replys, the average response is that they (members) like the body kit. Maybe your view is just too narrow? Anyways Jim I hope you don't follow me around now and try to antagonize me. ( I don't have time for that ****!!) Oh well that's all. And i look forward to a very Witty reply from you. I know you can't resist!! Aloha Jim, No hard feelings?

Well said teamaFX! I would think that at this point in his life Jim was Over being this immature. And you nailed it on the head about asking for peoples opinions, They are like *******, Everyone has one and most stink!! Haha! I feel it is a bit ridiculous that everything turns into a flame war.( I thought we were here too HELP eachother) Group hug everyone, let's go, Let's all be friends again!!!

You know, I've heard that argument a thousand times, but how does interacting through computers make this any different than me telling SpoolinRX to his face that his body kit looks like ***? The only difference is the medium of exchange, and that some people say things they wouldn't normally say if they were within punching range. However, that doesn't change the message, or how people react to it.

If you like your body kit, then keep it and feel good about it. I can tell you one thing though, DONT ASK PEOPLES OPINIONS! You never get the response you want and it only leads to trouble
He's trying to show off, despite the fact that he says he was just posting so people would know what was involved in swapping on a kit... as if people had never seen pictures of body kit installations prior to this, and no one knew that you when you take off the stock bumper, you replace it with the aftermarket one...

It just backfired, because there aren't many people who like his kit. He's more than welcome to ruin his car in any way he sees fit, but if he wants to brag about it, he'd better learn to live with negative opinions.

And although jimlab and I havent talked ive been on the forum for 3 years and seen his posts and know that the guy is a very intelligent man, hopefully smart enough to just drop this whole thing cause its not worth it.
Being smart and what someone finds amusing are two entirely different things...

This isn't really about his body kit, although I do think it's absolutely hideous. This is about his negative behavior in other's threads and a little payback with a taste of his own medicine.

I believe they were referring to the revised '99-spec bumper, which is not limited to the RZ model...

If he likes it then who are you to say that he is ruining his car? What you find horrible the next guy may find gorgeous. Just because you have an opinion doesnt mean you are the end all expert and authority on the matter, and as for getting some sort of humor out this then thats sad. If you have to come online and make fun of other peoples work then you seriously need a life.

Some will say the same about you. It is just counterproductive. While I agree some of his responses in the other thread were unneeded, However you guys just started in on him with no remorse. ( Which you are entitled to do. As he is entitled to snap back at you and call you names if he so desires.) Again it is all counterproductive.! You have a point as others have said that one should not ask for personal opinions if one can not handle others views. However, some tact(?) should be used when criticizing someones hard earned money and pride in their car. granted he should just ignore you and not respond, and it would all have been in the past. One of you guys said it in the other thread, It just adding fuel to the fire. Or something to that extent. If he wants to post about what is involved with putting a body kit on let him. You posted about your V8 conversion. And there are PLENTY of places that one could go and look for that info.( It's not rocket science) One could view your post as trying to show off as well. It's a forum,And if his original post was in the wrong section so is your V8 post. It belongs in the engine swap or general automotive section.( it might be there as well I don't recall)And NOT the FD Rotary section. It offers little help/if any on the Rotary set-up that the cars came with.Again, I like the swap, It just seems that if your going to tell someone their posts are in the wrong area, you should make sure all yours are too. That said, any more rambling from us and this will get moved to the lounge section huh?!! Anyways I hope we can all learn from this experience. People will never agree all the time. Espeacially on STYLES !!!And just take the good with the bad and ignore what you don't like!!

He voiced his opinion in the other threads that’s fine. He made is point the first “800 times”. If he wants to act like a 12 year old, let him. As far as other threads, I didn’t flame on people that didn’t flame on me first. I also didn’t make unnecessary comments. Jimlab it is not your place to “give me a taste of my own medicine”. I have my opinions just like you. And we both are entitled to them. But the difference is that if I don’t like somebody’s thing they asked for an opinion on I tell them then leave, and never check back to see what they wrote about me, cuz it’s a forum and I don’t really care. You on the other hand, it looks like you think you have something to prove. And you don’t cuz it’s a forum. I have my opinions on your V-8 conversion, but I never voiced them. If I would have I would have posted then left. I like my body kit and I am gonna keep it. I know your opinion will never change, but its gonna look good. A smart person once said. “Fighting on the internet is like competing in the special olympics. Even if you win you are still retarded.” And right now I feel pretty retarded, for carrying this on with you so I am gonna be the bigger man and stop. You can antagonize and harasses me all you want. But I am done with you.

Yes, you do care, or you wouldn't be carrying on this debate and you wouldn't have to tell anyone that you don't care.

From what I've seen, however, you do show up in other people's threads who did not ask for an opinion (the '93 turn signal thread is one example). You opinion was that it was "too ricey", I believe. Since we know that your taste is rice from the body kit you chose, who the hell are you to be telling other people what's "too ricey"?!?

I like my body kit and I am gonna keep it.
Good, because I doubt you'd be able to sell it very easily.

Suuure, you are...

Sure. As long as you're asking for opinions, here's mine:

It's butt-*******-ugly

There are also two other FD owners currently over at my house. They are looking at your posted pictures right now, and they also agree. So basically, you have 3 more votes for the "looks like ***" choice.

Some kits flow with the lines and curves of the car, some don't. This one doesn't even come close. I think veilside can step down from it's championship on the "ugliest body kit of all time" podeum. We have a new winner!!!

Does any of you knows what the word "taste" means?
SpoolingRX asked your opinion and you are free to answer "No i don't like it". I personally don't like it but you have no rights to come in here and start flaming. I also don't like the idea on replacing my rotary engine with a pistons one and have my FD sceaming like a V8 no matter how powerfull it is, but that's just my taste. Others may thing it's great to have a reliable V8 under the hood. Others like stock looks others don't.

It's all about taste. Afterall it's his and yours money and you can spend it how you like.

I don't like it. Even when I first saw it on Bomex's site. I just feel that it has TOO much going.

But I've seen worse

Was it easy to remove them? du you have to cut and use fibergalss?

Btw. Whats the kit made of? Fiberglass og plastic?

I think it loked better with out the fins.

LOL thats really funny. By the way you would have to refiberglass over the parts you cut out if you did it. I was just ****** around in Fireworks MX. One more thing the kit is fiberglass.
