Best looking hood to match 99 Spec Upgrades?

What hood do you guys think goes best with the 99 Front and Wing?
Something that is not overly aggressive (Scoot) but flows with the lines well.
I like the Mazdaspeed one, the Knightsport one looks nice as well.
Maybe the new RE one would be okay, too aggressive maybe?

Yes car is VR red, though I've thought about a color change, I think I'll stick with the red.

I'd lose the stripes and get Velocity red mica (off the rx8) And do either a stock hood or a mazdaspeed hood.
I can photoshop it if you take a good pic that is stright on.

Any pictures you can find here that would work good enough?

I've thought about losing the stripes since I was rear ended and decided to go with the 99 bumper. I'm just not sure if it would look right with stripes and the front plate holder.
I've also thought changing the color, from Spirit R Ti Grey, to IBM, even Velocity Red, and Spicy Orange Mica. I really do like the stock R1 Vintage Red, but if I went with Velocity Red, I probably could get away without doing under the hood or the jams. As I recall my buddies Spicy Orange Mazdaspeed Protege only has the metallic flakes applied on the exterior coat and not under the hood, etc...
I believe the RX-8 is the same way.
Unfortunately I didn't think about then when I took it for a test drive, and forgot to check it out.

Thanks Guys, keep the opinions coming!

BTW: Is your Mazdaspeed hood still for sale?

I prefer the one made by ODULA. That's the one i'm going with in a few months.

From your list i think Mazdaspeed is a good one but too expensive if you compare it with the odula's one.

I like that hood, except for the air intake scoop. If it didn't have that I would consider it.

Well i agree the air scoop it's not the best part of it but have you thought about the fresh reaching the intakes from that scoop?

Love the stripes - keep them!

The new Mazdaspeed hood with the extra vents is the way to go.

Classic Mazdaspeed, painted. It's subtle and close to stock yet functional. That's the way I'd go.

I think the Mazdaspeed hood looks the best with the 99 Front.

If anybody is interested in getting the new Mazdaspeed hood, I would be up for a volume leveraged discount purchase.

quick question....what exactly are the vents on the new mazdaspeed venting? It seems to me the Knightsports hoods are more functional, since the rearward passenger vent is venting hot air from the turbo....j/ a thought.

The reason i picked Scoot is because it bubbles up in the front more than other hoods.. With the rain guard it was hitting my intake.. but without the guard, perfect fit.. not even close to hitting anything..

I recommend it if you are having clearance issue..

Also, I feel that hood pin was not necessary.. I went testing the hood going about 145MPH.. and passed a state trooper.. and not paying attention because I was looking at the hood.. Luckily, I out ran him.
