Best Gauges?

So i think this is a good place for this? since im concerned with getting gauges to match with the RX-7 stock speedometer/tach/etc...

i also found a 3 gauge pod on the main dash, anyone buy though these guys before?
http://prosportgauges.com/MazdaRX7gaugepod.aspx

Im looking for gauges/ 52mm i suppose, black background with white letters, silver brushed finish on the rim, and glows red.. like stock...

hmm i found greddy(but wasnt silver rimmed) i found autometer (but a little on the too cheap looking end and i dont know what color it illumenates) and then the DEFI gauges (however im not sure about these either)

could anyone make some recommendations? pictures to support would be REALLY helpful. Thanks!

Boost, EGT, Water/Oil Temp, Wideband Gauges

Thanks again!

i did do a search but i didnt find to much, a lot of fluff in the search, ive seen a lot of pictures which is why i think i narrowed it down but im not sure really.

my car has all preventive/reliability mods... downpipe/catback/fluidyneradiator/intake/fuel pump/new oil lines/new coolant and rat's next hoses/greddy 3piece IC piping/new AST... and i think thats about it for now.. i just want to monitor the engine to make sure she'll be okay. motor is just rebuilt.

thanks!

The general theme for gauges is Boost and Water Temp. Thats what I have.. I also have a PFC that tells me other readings. Everyone will tell you different opinions

I used Stri gauges, they have amber backlight which is nice. Or just get Defi if you got a lot of money

Gauges are gauges, from MY experience I had autometer cobalt series gauges and they SUCKED.. IMO get QUALITY gauges... I have defi D series gauges and they work fine. Any of the name brand gauges should be fine, greddy, hks, apexi

Defi - D Gauges match the look almost perfectly except they have a matte ring, while the stockers have a polished ring... But They've since gotten really rare like all parts for the RX

In daylight they're white, and at night they're this color (Plastic Bezel is removable)

I have black Apexi El II 60mm Boost and Water temp gauges with controller and they blend in perfect with my mazdaspeed 300km/h cluster.
My mate has Defi Bf gauges,Defi link and Defi controller in his 2002 Spirit R and they look class but he's got a few dollars lying about!!!

I just installed the prosport gauges and they're fine so far. 1 day and counting! They are extremely economical with very good features. I painted them black and put 3 into a DIN panel above a new stereo for a very clean look. The red glow doesn't match the amber of the dash exactly, but it's very close. I actually have a second set for sale in the non-rotary FS items if you're interested.

I couldn't be happier with my premium prosport gauge. Very accurate with the power fc boost readings. I still need to order my oil pressure/oil temp gauges. I think they look amazing as well.
The white during the day is very easy to read, and doesn't wash out in direct sunlight. And the red is not blinding at night as it may look in the pictures.
(I also left the clear plastic film on, oops)

Defi BF are amazing. Especially with a nice camera and a long exposure picture of the opening sequence.

Haha, yes your right

Another bonus is that the Amber BF Series, matches the gauge lights almost perfectly.

I second that the Autometer Cobalt series suck. I've never had more problems. They replace them, but still a headache to take in and out. Ill most likely go with the Prosports as well when I get to that point.
