Best alarm system?

Could someone please recommend a good alarm system to me? Something that is not over $300 installed. I have no idea about alarms and would like someone that knows alarms to help me out.

Thanks

Anything made by DEI should be pretty good except that $300 installed is not gonna get you the most bells & whistles.

The alarm is only as good as the install.

I am very happy with my CODE alarm.

I'm looking at the Viper 5002. I called this shop around here and the guy is certified and has been doing this for 15 years. He said $399 for the viper 5002 installed.

There was a thread similar to this a while back. I should have saved it because I wanted to get the alarm one of them recommended. It called your cell phone if it ever went off, etc.. I doubt it was under $300 installed though.
