Before & After :D
Before & After :D
Well, got a pretty good chunk of change for some misc things I've done (websites, etc) so I decided to go out and buy a lot of Meguiars things because I love their products...of course I didn't have an orbital so this really sucked ***** doing it by hand (note 5 hours of work).
BEFORE FRONT:

AFTER FRONT:

I need to go back and re-do the whole hood again, and add a second coat!
BEFORE RIMS:
I've been battling the disease of brake dust, I've tried everything but I finally found one magical product by Meguiars!

AFTER RIMS:

Enjoy!

Actually, it's a combination of two things that I used...
First up, the spray bottle,
http://www.meguiars.com/?wheel-care/...-Wheel-Cleaner
I only sprayed enough to damnpen the wheels, they didn't need to be PLASTERED, then went on with the brush.
Second, the brush they make, oh my god it's so worth it...it's soft so it wont damage chrome, etc, but still thick enoguh to agitate the dirt enough for it to literally just wash off - and on top of that, when you clean the brush (I recommend doing so between each wheel) it cleans EASILY!

Third, sprayed the wheel off, touched up any weird edges with the brush that I might have missed, and then sprayed off the rim and brush and moved on to the next wheel!
Can you believe that craptastic look in the first picture can come out to something like this?!

www.autopia.org is your friend. great forum for detailing. and get yourself a PC7424 kit!!! itll saveyou lots of time (and itll look even better). but you did a great job by hand. you should try using clay, then PC with poorboys ssr 2.5, clean up with Klasse All IN one, sealant with Megs NXT tech wax x 2, then put on megs #26 yellow wax. my fav combo on red.
I've done all of that already before, nothing made it look as good as this!
I'm going to be doing the clay system soon enough, as when you rub your hand down the side of my car you can defintley feel the bumps from dirt, etc being stuck on the paint from it sitting up so long.
