cant say much for the subs, iv never been impressed by bazooka's in general. but everyone who puts subs in that place on an fb tend to re-locate them. based on that id say look elsewhere for a location. lots of people put them i nthe back aimed up towards the rear glass, thats what i did with some ground zero subs and they sounded great (especially for being 10+ years old)

i dont think the dynamix of a triangle would carry the same quality in sound, same concept as people who favor the round speakers to the oval ones for quality. again, i havent used them, and cant say for sure.

Great thanks for your opinion. That was the kind of answer I was hoping for.

Avoid Bazooka in general. If you want to go for them soley because they are triangles, than my all means but they are the LAST you'd ever want for sound quality.

Let us know your budget and the type of sound you are after and we can come up with something. Two crappy subs would be a waste, I'd look to a single nice sub, which would make better use of the RX-7's cabin.

well if you want just a little boom and save weight they are great...but you know how much bass you want

i will tell you this if you get the bazooka triangles..they will sound weird in a hatch...unless you have a vert then go for it

Cool

Here are my plans. I have removed the storage bins from behind the seats. My current sub (a Audio Centron box with a 12") its a monitor box and is currently pointed at the floor ran by a 200w optimus amp. So realy anything is an improvement. My plans where to use two of the triangle or square kickers mounted in the place of the bins but slightly under the top of the bin. Then Cover the bins with a pice of Plexiglass. Also mounting all of the electronics under the bin so that they are not in view. My budget is moderate and I plan on this being a fairly long project since we have fairly bad winters up here my car is in the garage 4-5 months outa the year.

well if you are gonna get some kicker squares you need more air space than the bin space

ok if you want a small and good sounding bass i would go with 2 kicker 10" squares and build a custom fiberglass enclosure to accomadate the bins and a small yet powerfull 600watt amp that can be hidden under the seat is all you need

I more space effeciant and monetarily affordable configuration that would offer more sound quality than boom would be going with a single 10" or single 12"

Consider mounting a single 10/12 in one bin and making a amp rack out of the other bin. Look for a Infinity Kappa with dual-voice coils, then from there get your amp of choice, I like the old school MTX's myself. Kicker squares are nice, dont get me wrong, but they are hard hitters.

Bins are a bad mount when you point the driver strait upwards. Most subs mounted in the bins creat a dead space which ill affect how the response is percived by your ears.

I run the round ones, they are decent for what they cost, and weight; plus you cam remove\relocate them anytime without much hassle. I say get an amp installed, go to a shop that sells them, and ask for a test.

1 - A sub in the bin area is one of the workst places to install a sub.
2 - Infinity Kappa for a sub???

A triagle sub? Way to pick the shape giving the least amount of surface area per dimensions...I have some bass tube from Rockford Fosgate that came in my car along with a 400watt amp, 200 bridged to the sub and 200 split between the 4 compenents...IMO a 10-12 Solo-Baric would be sufficient no matter what your looking for, go to Circuit Citys boom room and listen to one, the ONE sub sounds better than any other Duals they have, and kickers products are all phonomenal...

Tell that to Zee Germans :-) I do run across a few guys when we run at a media mart or saturn that think just because they have a 12'' tube they can hang with the big cats. Iv seen guys from the netherlands hit high 150's with two 10's in Street A, then get uber pissed because they are .3dB short from last show. Oh well so is life. BTW I have had a hard time blowing Hifonics subs, they never have never disapointed me.

Well I'm assuming that he is going to mount a sealed enclosure IN the bin... not just use the bin, that'd be horrible. lol

I mean Kappa Perfect, either way they are both pretty good for the price, just dont overload them.
