bad news

I am a Senior in High School and was stupid to drive my FD to school. Well, turns out its got keyed, but i know who did it and he was arrested today. Its keyed right in back of the passenger door, really, its not too bad but you can notice it because they paint chiped away because of the scratch. My question is, and i know you guys aren't judges but is it possible for me to ask for the entire car to be repainted, or do i just have to get the section where it is scratched off. And is there any possible ways I can get as much as i can out of this deal. I was planning on repainting my car in the summer but now it may seem like a free oppertunity. I want to be prepared before I got to court and even before i got to the nicest body shops around, def. no macco involved.

Always try to get as much as possible against a schmuck like that. The worst that can happen is insurance, or the law that is going to make him pay (hopefully), is that they turn you down and only award you with repair damages. If that's the case, most repair shops will deal with you to add to the repair cost to repaint the whole car, which will cost you less in the long run. Good luck buddy, glad they caught the kid, hopefully he has some rich folks and they will foot the bill.

when my car was keyed the paint shop said that they could just fade the bad area with the good paint. but in the end i decide to go the right way and just get the whole car repainted.
if I were you I would take it to the little fu%kers *** and make him pay for a new paint job
you know its very hard to fade the paint on a car that has faded paint in the first place.
sorry to hear that happen hope it all works out.

Thanks guys yeah I'll find out tomorrow whats going on exactly. Guess I learned my lesson...Never bring a nice car to a high school parking lot. I only have a few monthes of high school left so hopefully i can just hitch rides. My car def. is not comming back to that lot. I just hope I'm not going to be set back with the money situation after all this, I plan to do a ton of mods to the car this summer. I'll let you guys know how all this goes tomorrow...thanks again

Or to work. The same ones who were asses in HS, turn out to be ases at work. Your nice car is never safe anywhere really.

..

I know Fd in High School, Trust me when I say this I'm not one of those bratting kids who knows when they got something nice. I'm very humble with the car makes me more grateful for it everday..Anyways the kid admitted to doing it so i took it to a well respected Auto Body Shop in the Chicago Area and they quoted around 1200 dollars. I was quite suprised to hear that but hey, nothing is cheap when it comes to cars. Atleast its not comming out of my wallet. His parents can deal with him.
