AUX in with stock FD bose stereo

I found mazda diagram that made me think it actually could be possible to add an auxiliary input to the stock stereo, take a look:
http://carstereohelp.net/wireharness_Mazda1.htm
My plan is to use bypass the CD player cable (the 13 pin) with a switch, and use the INPUT LH+ and RH+ pins to feed in a headphone cable to my ipod
You guys think this will work?

as long as that is a true line level input you should have no problems, double check the impedance (dcr) of the output of the cd player with that of the ipod and you will have your answer

If those inputs don't work, you can also just hardwire an FM modulator betwen your antenna and the deck.

or

You can easily mod the cassette circuit to convert it into an aux input.

Is that your way of saying a tape adapter? Or is it something else completely?

No, not a cassette adapter. Here are some examples of what I'm talking about...

A tape adaptor will not sound better then a hard wired FM modulator.
