Audio Junkies...input please :)

K...got my toyz and would like an opinion and some assistance.
Firstly, my headunit has sub out (low passed @ 50/80/120Hz @ unknown slope). It has two RCA out for it. If I'm bridging the rear channels, do I still connect the two RCAs to the line input of the amp and the amp then does the L+R summation?
Secondly, my amp is the Phoenix Gold Ti500.4. It's got some nice built-in features but non-existent documentation. They have various ways to configure it, hi-pass, low-pass, band-pass, by-pass, and other combinations thereof. Anyone here with experience with this amp? My question would be, should I not use the headunit sub out and use the amp's 24dB/Octave crossover? It has an aux line out too (prolly for daisy-chaining to another amp for sub duty). Do I loop through the aux out to the rear channel in for band-pass control?
Ultimately, what I'm after is front channels to be high-passed @ 80 or 120Hz and the sub bandpassed @ 20 and 80/120Hz. If I can't bandpass the rear then low pass should suffice as I'm running a sealed box.
Thx in advance!

All that belly achin about your enclosure and you don't even know what to do yet???
I will email you; you can do it either way. I'll 'splain what the pros/cons are but don't have time this minute.

You might want to mention the model of the headunit. My personal preference is to use 50 to 80 Hz range for all speakers crossovers. This rule is especially true if you have a 24db/oct high pass x-over for the fronts and you fronts can handle some serious power. This is not the max SPL setup, but leans more toward sound quality.

JVC KD-SH99 head unit
PG Titanium 500.4 amp
Focal 165K2 fronts
Audiomobile EVO 2210 S4 rears.
I'm definitley after SQ not SPL....the car will win out in the SPL department
Anyhoo, the rear channel will be bridged for 4Ohm mono. I'm not sure how this funky amp configures for low-passed mono setup. I'll prolly use 80 Hz as the x-over pt cuz it allows the sub to do about 1.5 octaves.Thx.

Use the x-over on the amp only. You can continously set the x-over point with that amp to dial it in. I personally prefer something in the 50 to 65 Hz range with any acceptable sub-sorry I'm very partial to JL. I think you should get 250 to 500 W RMS from the brideged channel @ 2 ohm. I don't know what they actually rate it.

Thx Spyfish,
Studied the diagram (http://members.shaw.ca/wankelpron/Audio03.jpg) on the back of the amp again. System II is it. Single front line in to amp, built-in hi-passes the front channels, low-passes the rear in bridged mode, and LPL controls the bass. Poifect!
My recent additions, minus the sub.

I dunno how ppl fit 6.5" in the doors, it is a tight fit. Dunno how they made the mounting plate too, as the surface is uneven. Grrrr.

Yes system II is your correct setup.
I'll take some photos of my setup for the 6.5" when I'm done. A picture will be worth a thousand words. Oh yeah, the LPL will be a really nice addition to that amp. If you get where you need a little more punch from your system, then add the Phoenix Gold Bass Cube. That will add another remote **** that will let you tweak the sound of the bass and add some more SPL. Real nice unit.

The amp comes w/ the LPL controller (just a potentiometer on a RJ11 connector). Bass Cube sounds suspiciously like the AudioControl Epicenter i used to own.
Pix would be awesome....are u just cutting MDF to suit or glassing? If it works may i purchase a set of "brackets" from you? I'm too lazy to get too involved.
