Alright i got a new headunit from best buy, wired it up and it turned on and everything, but when i played a CD nothing went to the speakers, couldnt here anything at all. This also happened when i tried putting an in dash DVD player in. So i talked to someone about this and they said i need the bose adaptor? What is this (what does it look like), where can i get it, and is this whats wrong? Thanks
took the adaptor from my old head unit...i guess that answers my question that i am using the bose adaptor lol, so then whats the problem why isnt anything goign to the speakers
does your radio work but not cd's? if that is the case then you accidently hooked up your remote antenna wire(blue) instead of your remote turn on(blue/white), hope that helps. but yeah ditch the bose!!! get some eclipse speakers! they wont have a problem fitting and sound the best for the money.

Okay, I am having this problem. I put a second amp in my 87 and the directions said to hook it up to the power antenna wire and guess what, put in a cd and there goes the power to my amp. Can I wire the two remotes into the same lead or is there another place to wire it into?

yes you can have as many as you want for it, it is not drawing power from this it is simply used as a signal to tell the amp to turn on it does the same thing as the red wire going into an after market deck only the red is coming from your ignition
Most aftermarket decks have an amp turn on lead which is always powered, and a power antenna lead which is usually only on with radio. Make sure you use the right one.
If you have no sound in radio or CD, then you probably didn't hook up the turn on lead at all. There's a wire missing depending on which harness you get, but it's no big deal. I just did mine this weekend. On the bigger of the two plugs in the car, look for the pea green wire with I think a black stripe on it. When you plug in the wiring kit, there's probably not a wire going to this spot. Just cut this wire and splice it to the blue amp turn on lead from the CD player and VOILA!!! This wire is the turn on lead for the factory Bose amps, and without it you won't get any sound.
