Anyone ever do a FD JDM door swap?

I was thinking about how much better I like the setup of the fd interior drivers side door vs passenger side door. Sure the storage compartment sucks but it seems better than the typical broken passenger door handle.

So I was thinking "what about getting a RHD drivers door and swaping the passenger out?"

Of course this is nothing I would spend money on myself as my budget has been exhausted for over a year now but maybe someone else has/will.

Thats something that I can fairly confidently say no one has thought of before....but interesting and it would be nice.

But...would it really work? The door panels are different where it joins the dash. The drivers side has that vent and passenger's doesn't. Don't know how different it is, but it def. seems different.

It wouldnt fit without a lot of modification. If you look at the shapes of the drivers and passengers doors where they meet the dashboard, they are completely different. Im not even sure if you would be able to get the door to close, and if you could, it would look really weird, cause it wouldnt be lined up at all. It would be cool though if someone did it and got it to fit right.

Actually that's something I looked into doing a couple years ago. At the time it was too expensive to buy and ship the door panel here though.
