anyone with a eonon in dash TV??
http://www.eonon.com/eonon_eng/category.php?category=9
these TV's can be found on ebay also... the price isnt too bad, but the saying "you get what you pay for" comes to mind...
anyone have these TV's? anything good to say about them? are they worth buying?
i'd like to go with an in dash TV sometime soon, and $700-$1000 for a alpine/kenwood brand is a little too rich for my blood... $300-$400 for a TV that'll work and won't give me sh~t is fine with me.... what are your thoughts?
*input appreciated*

Yeah, similar, my USB hub for Mouse KB, and CD/DVD player is in the glove box, and just sits there. I rarely need to use them, only if entering data, or configureing paths to look for folders where I have MP3s etc... or if I need to type a website...
It has Wireless Lan(WiFi 802.11g), GPS, XMRadio etc.. it starts up with the ignition, and shuts down... startup is approx 30 sec. shutdown is Hybernate to HDD and takes about 1 Minute after the key is removed... I was lucky that I was running Oddysee PC1600 Battery and never had any voltage leak..... so the power supply cut the voltage to the PC hard if it didn't shut down after 2 Min.

Go to wal-mart
Buy a Jensen VM9311 for $488
If it breaks or if your low on cash return it within the 90 day "trial period"
Thats what I am currently doing, call me jewish but at the end of the summer Im gonna return it and get my $500 back lol. Its currently working fine but the motorized motion is jerky and sometimes you have to hit the buttons twice to get the damn thing to register.

hehe... hey when you say " the motorized motion is jerky " what do you mean exactly? do you mean the screen isn't too clear when the car's in motion??

80 Gig HDD.... at the time it was about $1400 - $1500 for everything, but that was because laptop HDD's didn't go past 120Gig, and 80 was expensive enough, same with the processor it was a 1.2 ghz when 1.8 was normal for a full desktop... so... not bad for a doubble DIN space'd computer... now days I'd say those same specs should still run everything you need, and cost 1/3 less... if not 1/2

Yes you can run windows since it is a pc. Do some research. All of the info you need on carputers or car pc's can be found on www.mp3car.com you can spend countless hours learning about stuff in the community forums.

I have an EONON indash DVD/TFT combo...
EONON E0464 combo DVD/TFT
http://www.eonon.com/D163.htm
It's rated at 4x45w and it's really strong. My Blaupunkt Austin was rated at 4x50w (4x25w RMS) and this one is way stronger. The screen isn't motorized but pulls out reasonably smooth and the mechanism feels solid. The screen clarity is really nice, especially for a complete setup for $292 shipped.
Now I'm sure there is something to the "you get what you pay for" addage. I bought higher resolution TFT: 3xRGB - 2400 (H) x 480 (V). I figured if I was going to risk on a cheap monitor...might as well get a hi-res one to curb disappointment. It's no Kenwood or Alpine, but For the short time I'll keep this deck (1-2 years), $292-shipped is a great value, plus the ability to play music and images from USB or SD/MMC cards...not to mention a built-in TV tuner and backup camera function. Can't touch anything similar in the US for the same price-range.
I have a 3-page thread with tons of photos and my review of the system on NASIOC. I'd highly recommend the EONON systems.

One more thing...TV reception is only good while sitting still. The reception clips in and out while driving. From what I understand receiving AM/FM on the go is much easier to grab out of the air with small antenna than TV signals.
FYI if you are wanting to use this while traveling. It's nice to have TV while waiting for someone in a parking lot somewhere or killing time on your lunch break.

They are inexpensive, but I wouldn't call them crap. If you aren't a huge audio/videophile and want cheap entertainment value....this is it. I'm sure you can get a lot better quality in a $1500 system, but I would never spend $$$ on something like that. This fits my needs perfectly.

i just bought the eonon 626 - should be here in a few days - from what i've heard (not only here) - they are very good and reliable units, not really any different than a $1500 unit, especially since they pretty much use the same components to build the darn things. a lot of big names make the same products under lesser known names - but with the same stuff inside.
