Anyone else have the Pre-Auto N1 nose?

It's all sort of a long story but the short of it is I had to bond my car out of a bodyshop today because they failed to perform up to industry standards for paint/bodywork I had them do. I asked them politely to fix and/or replace several small mistakes and broken trim. They refused and started to tack on storage fees even though they'd had my car for three months on a three week job (says the estimate). The guys are basically scum.

Anyway I went down to the courthouse and bonded the money owed to the court. The shop has 60 days to sue for the money. In the meantime I need three bodyshop estimates to fix what they did wrong.

One thing I'd really like is if I had a few high res pics of someone else's car who also has the Pre-Auto N1 nose. It would be a really big help. They didn't adjust the fenders to fit the new nose. My prior nose was a RE FEED Type II replica. The fenders needed adjusting IN with that nose and they didn't bother to readjust for the new one. Owner of the shop claims the nose is designed to overlap like that (I'll get pics up) which as you and I know, is simply bullshit.

So...I need some high res pics of the sides of the N1 nose where it meets the fenders. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. This guy had the chance to do the right thing and didn't. I've taken enough crap from him and I just won't put up with it any longer. He's a real scam artist.

Thanks in advance!
Michel

Yeah, no kidding. Last night was the first time my RX7 has been in the garage under it's own power in about 2 years!

Made sure they couldn't do the test drive thing....

Here are a few pics of what I'm referring to;

As you can see, it would have taken very little effort or time to adjust it properly. They did not and I'm going to make sure they pay for it legally.

Harrison, give me a call...been very busy with work (I was on weekends last month). I'll probably start on the interior this Sunday (off Sunday/Monday) and begin ripping the carpet out and cleaning everything including the engine bay which is now a mess thanks to the body shop. I had polished everything. Never ends!

The nose is designed to be flush. But Pre-Auto has had some bad raps.

Definitely, I couldn't agree with you more but the fit on this nose is actually quite good. If the body shop hadn't adjusted the fenders inwards, I'd say it's the nose. But you can clearly see the narrowing gap between the hood and the fenders as well. The body guy, after he'd painted it the firs time, bragged how he'd lined the fenders up first and THEN sprayed inside the hood along the fenders. Yeah, duh, that's how you're supposed to do it!

I really wish i could find the thread about this exact bumper from Pre-Auto b/c it had plenty of pics in it. I know the car in question was red, so you could see it very easily.

Your plans for the car sound great, good luck!

oh thats a Pre- Auto nose???

no **** it doesn't fit. That company is absolute garbage. I would of had to pay twice as much to get mine to fit. I still have that piece of dung in my garage. I dunno how much you paid, but to get that terd to fit perfect it will take an act of God. Hope you read this Chris you p.o.s.

Did yours come with the front two small vents. This was an option mine was left without???

Good luck man, I have learned the hard way that quality pieces are worth it.

Yes, mine has the vent in the nose. Strangely, mine fits. I did a search and found pics of your bumper which looks to be a different animal entirely to what I received. But you're right, Chris should be held accountable for his actions. Send me a PM with any problems you had with Pre Auto and what you're out financially.
