Factory on 94 -95 touring. and I was told that if it's glass it's called a "moonroof" not a sunroof... some marketing people have too much time on their hands!

The glass sunroofs were used in 94 tourings only. There was no touring model for 95, only base, R2, and PEP.

Ya 94 touring indeed. You are correct by the way. If it's glass and you can see through it, it's a "moonroof". If it's solid as in the 93 sunroofs that are painted, it's a sunroof. Useless fact of the day.

Don't you have the plastic panel for the moon roof...? I took mine off one time and I put it right back on because of the same problem...

I have a glass sunroof on mine. That and the car being white is the primary reason I bought the car.

Also, how do you complain about the sun coming through?? It comes heavily tinted from the factory. I sold the plastic cover because it was pointless having it with the tint. And this is in Southern California where it's always sunny.

agreed fumanchu. Took the cover off the day I got it. Didn't exactly sell it cuz you never know. I'm glad I have a moonroof and not a sunroof. Even in Miami heat its gorgeous.

If you can find one from a Mazda dealership, expect to pay $400+. But I heard a little while back that they can't be found anymore. Better try finding someone that is parting out a '94.
