Any reason this head unit wouldn’t fit in Bose FD?

Any reason this head unit wouldn’t fit in Bose FD?

Hi all,

I just got an FD that has had its Bose system removed at some point and now has a kenwood head unit. I was perusing crutchfield for a new head unit that has Bluetooth audio and came across this Sony unit with built in amp. However it says it won’t fit in Bose cars but will fit in non-Bose cars. What would be the reason for the discrepancy? Can I go ahead and buy this unit?

I don't think it's a mechanical firmest issue. Just that the Bose has its own amps, so wiring may be different.

Use that and you can install whatever head unit you want with the Bose system
