Another "what body kit is this" thread

I searched for literally an hour trying to find out what type of front bumper this is.

I fount a replica version of it off of ebay and all they said was "Type F" style. Also, does anyone have any other pictures of it installed on the FD?

Looks like a 99 spec with the license plate holder removed and an aftermarket lip to me

Sorry but quicksilver_rx7 is right. Its a 99spec with no holder. Same one you can get from Pettit.

I thought it did look like a 99 spec with a lip, either way I love it. As soon as the money is right I plan on getting it.

That was the old mbautosports "Feed Style" front:

mahjik is right. it was originally made by mbautosport and sold for $250. it is basically the 99 spec bumper without the plate and a veilside style lip added to the bottom. tom ngo has had it on his fd for years. pettit does not sell this bumper.

here is a nice picture of it on a red fd:

So confident, heh??

It is the MB autosports one, and one of the cheapest$$ you will find for this car. Snook from the forum had one on his car that blueskaterboy(sp?) bought. 99% sure the lip isn't tacked on, rather part of the mold.

Yeah and I still am. Look at the lines at the bottom of the main duct. Regardless of who makes it, if they add a lip, or what you wanna call it, it’s still a 99 spec.

yeah, i agree i think its a 99spec with an ad on lip, regardless if the lip was molded on or not!!
Heres another one that looks like they customed the 99'spec bumper

What's the cheapest place these bumpers have been found for? I personally don't like the bottom lip but it would be interesting to fiddle around with customizing the bumper.

By that menatlity, every bumper that accepts the new lights is '99 spec'??
The lip isn't molded on, it is part of the FG mold = part of the bumper. And it is NOT the SAME one you can get from Pettit, they just look similar.

I have one on my car too and I really like it. Plus, there are lots of options for ducting to your:

1)Radiator
2) Oil Cooler(s)
3) Brakes
