hey everyone i just ordered a bunch of stuff to cover my dash in carbon fiber its gonna be sweet ill post pics asap. lookin to get started on friday

Did you just order an adhesive dash kit or are you talking about buying the material/resin/ect and wrapping them yourself?

Me and some friends tried to do some CF work before but it didn't come out too great. Please take pics and post your process if you are actually wraping them.

oh its the real deal none of that fake crap. i bought a video so i can learn foh to lay it very well. i have all the materials i just dont have any time til friday. ill post pics then

ok well i didnt have time to do my center consol but i did do 1 of those fake button things. and the picture quality isnt great. its hard to focus on such a small part. ill start the center consol early friday. but for now here are the pics of the fake button. and the fiber is actualy a 3k 2X2 twill which in my opinion looks the best

Any more progress? How many coats of resin/hardener? Did you sand and clearcoat it?

Looks pretty good. Hint...You gotta use the Macro feature(sometimes looks like a little flower icon on your camera) to take close up pics like that.

well i got the cover for the ash tray and it s dryin rite now. i put 3 coats of resin/hardener on to get that depth. but i dont have my camera with me at this moment but ill have it on sun. i havent sanded it or clearcoated it yet but i do plan on doin that. thanks for the hint ill try it next time
