amp will not work

amp is grounded, is getting 12v (+) from the battery, and is spliced into the System Remote Control of the headunit so its only on when the cars on. But still no power! nothing i try will get power to the amp. any suggestions?

Is there a fuse on the amp? All you need is power/ground/remote. Try putting a 12 volt straight from the battery to the remote on the amp.

I agree with 1badd7. If this does not work. Time to get a new one, or go to a shop and have them bench test it.

Have you tested the ground/positive wires with a voltage tester? Just a thought, you never know. James

Open the amp up - sometimes they have a fuse inside that could be blown. Check the easy stuff first.

Also, some amps only switch on when they get an input from the RCA jacks.

Don't open the amp, if you do, no more warrenty. All the fuses are on the out side, not inside. If this thing is that new, return it and get your money back.

ok i figured it out... no 12v power was getting to it and heres why-

im using a Fosgate wiring kit... which has some weird saftey thing near the battery that breaks the power cable at a certain point. NOW the issue is figuring out what the deal is with that piece.

i think im going to start a new thread asking about this and ill include a pic.
