'99 spec turn signal wiring harness

OK gang,

i've got a question and i'm hoping someone can help me out. now, i don't have an RX-7, but i do have a miata. i'm still thinking about a rotary conversion, but thats besides the point and off topic.

i reconfigured my custom front bumper to accept a set of '99 spec RX-7 front turn lamps. now here is the hard part, wiring them up. i know i can just rig it and use some regular spade style wire connectors, but i'd rather do it right.

is there anyone, a store or company or person, who can provide me with an actual harness that plugs up to the JDM lenses. I can chop it up from there and splice it into my miata light harness, but what i'm looking for is the ends that plug directly up to the jdm light.

anyone know where i can find such a harness?

thanks
alex

Here are a set of wire harness that are used so that the 99's will fit older fd's. http://www.rx7trix.com/store/customer/home.php?cat=157 I hope it helps you. They are on the bottom of the page and cost 65 dollars.

I think he's planning on just getting the wiring harnesses there. Also if you want a pair or 99 spec lights for a decent price they are 180 dollars here http://www.makotoautotrends.com/stor...=RX7&year=1999 They may be "boot leg" as damimfast puts it but they look good and are a decent price. I'm not sure if the wiring harness would work on them though. I heard somewhere they they have a harness for the older fd's, but I don't really know either way.

If you already have the lamps then try going to JT-Imports.com (half way down page) for the harness adapters! They are $50 shipped but you can go to Mako like I did and just buy the set of lamps with the harness for only $200.

thanks for all the help gang. i think i'm going to go through www.rx7trix.com to get them. they have exactly what i am looking for. i already have the lights and i only need the wiring harnesses, so that should answer someone's question. and don't worry, once the car is done i will post some pics so that those of you that are interested in seeing the final product can see how the car turns out after all the new mods.

thanks for all the help everyone.

ok, i know i'm bringing back a really old thread but i need some help. i never got around to buying the harnesses for the lights back when i first posted this thread. actually, i didn't get around to finishing up the light conversion on the car until about a year or so ago.

here is the problem i'm facing now. i still want to buy these harnesses for the 99spec combo lights, but rx7trix.com no longer exists and this item is no longer listed on jt-imports.com. i know that rotary extreme used to carry these harnesses, but i emailed them yesterday and they said they no longer carry them. Rotary Extreme told me though that when they did carry them, they were from RE-Amemiya. thinking back, i do remember seeing them before on the RE site. Now, i was searching the RE site last night and no luck in finding the harnesses on their site. does anyone know where i might be able to find these harnesses? or maybe someone who can navigate the RE site better than I, can you search and see if you find them on the site, that way at least i know they are still available.

any help would really be appreciated.

by the way, if anyone is interested in seeing how the combo light conversion came out on my car, you can see it on page 4 of my cardomain page:
www.cardomain.com/id/speedworks

thanks
alex

LOL I was paged and I came... (Thanks JIC).

Alex...hey! Hope you're happy w/ the RE mirrors!

The harnesses you speak of are made by Knightsports. I just ordered a set for a customer yesterday in fact. They should be here in a day or two. PM me if I can help out w/ anything.
