Or do the people that the 99 front end with the liscene plate holder built into it... never put their plates on there and just leave it black with rx-7 on there? Whats the point of that?

The real '99 spec front bumper came with a front license plate holder molded into the front, but not everyone has to have front plates. Here in MI, for example, we are not required to have a plate on the front of our cars. So, if I had a real '99 spec front end I'd probably get that plate too (the Rx7 one) because it'd look better than having just open holes. There are companies that make replica bumpers without the plate mounting area, too, but some people just like the real thing.

I've probably seen more tags on the cars then not for the 99 spec bumpers.

The plate opening is designed for the smaller, japenses plates anyway, so putting a US plate on there, the bottom hangs out an inch or so.

Besides, what would look better, an RX-7 logo, or if you live in oregon....a stupid tree.

Regardless though, if you live in a state that requires a front plate, the RX7 logo one is still not legal (obviously).
