91 vert sub install???

I've come up with the idea for my 91 vert to put a ten inch sub in the car. I was wondering if anywas has ever been able to put a subwoofer on that little hump where the top folds down to. I was thinking that there might be a way to flesh mount one into the hump itself. Has anyone else had the same idea? Is it possible? Is the hump fully inclosed? If this has been asked before I apologize but the thought has be wondering around in my head for some time.

i just bought a vert last week and the last owner had a sub in there. he had put it right behind the driver seat in that hump. it wasnt connected or anything since he took the amp, but he left the sub. all he did was get a piece of strong plywood big enough to cover the hole of the hump with the sub in the middle. it was enclosed in the hump but had no box. just the piece of wood that held it up.

could you possibly show me a pic. cause what i was thinking was actually cutting into that hump, but i don't know if it is inclosed or not cause i want the top to close correctly and i want it to look as stock as possible. i figured i would have to make some sort of cover but i have all the materials i need to do it at work. i jsut want to see the set. great info and if you could post a pic that would be great

just putting the sub into the spare tire cover is kind of a bad idea, first off unless you get some crappy lightweight sub, the deck really woln't be able to support it. and more importantly it's not a sealed area down there, the pressure waves from the back side of the sub will reach the front of the sub and it will cancel out. i've got a custom fiberglass box that fits in the area behind the drivers seat and under the spare tire cover. you can not see the sub or box with the cover installed. like i told you in the pm though, my 'vert just got totaled so i don't need the box anymore and it's forsale. if anyone else is interested in it $350 OBO i paid $500 for it, took 3 days to make
