6x8 or 5x7

I am in need of some speakers for the rear of my Fd. Its a 93 touring with bose. What is a direct replacement speakers for the rear? it did not come with any speakers, do i need to fabriciate to make it fit? What size? etc...

Either/or will fit. And you'll need to buy mounting brackets if they aren't already there.

originally they were 5x7 but stay away from that trash. get a set of 6 1/2 component or 3 way speakers. try to ask fritzflynn if he has the speaker brackets for sale. they can be drilled to hold pretty much any size speaker.

actually the Cerwin Vega IT-683 are very good speakers, if you don't want to do much work and not spend too much. I put 4 of these in my fiancee's Mazda 3s and they are very good sound and great power handling.
just look around for a good deal on whatever you get.

www.sonicelectronix.com is a great deal and has a large selection, even on 5x7-6x8 componet speakers

i liked cerwin vega subwoofers its a shame they are going out of business. but u can get them cheap on ebay atm.

Why? You put your best speakers up front, not in the rear. Run coaxials in the back for rear fill.
