does anyone know if i could fit 6" by 8" speakers in the rear shock towers...? a while back i tried to fit my old 6X9s and they were a little big...can i do 6x8 or do i have to step down to 5x7?

sorry im being lazy and dont feel like going out to my car to measure because its COLD!

largest size i could find to fit was a set of Kenwood 3-ways that were 6.25" round. Hope that helps you out.

where in MA are you from? i live in haverhill...up near newburyport, salisbury....20 minutes from boston.

as for the speakers...i know you can fit bigger than that. if you take the old speaker boxes out and just have the empty shock tower im sure you can fit 5x7 and im hoping maybe i can fit som 6x8's

its time for a stereo that sounds decent and my b-day is coming up...

haha ok thats what i thought...i was thinking maybe you cut your towers to fit them or something cause i tried and found no way they were gonna fit in there. ill just buy some 5x7's for the rear, and some 4 inch rounds for the front...i dont want bumpin sound...just clear and crisp.

your dropping in 8 inch subs? i was thinking about doing that as well but considering i only have 4" speakers upfront im afraid that may not be enough for highs...
