6.5" vs 6x8's

OK so I finally got my FC smoged and registered with plates and all.

before I buy my radio setup, what should I get for the towers? 6.5" or 6x8's? I will have to cut the top of my bins either way and cost diff is little to none.

set-up so far
Pioneer Premier DEH-P510UB or Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693 (if they get it back instock by the time I order)

front speakers
Alpine SPS-400 or Infinity Reference 4032cf or Kicker KS400

then matching 6.5" or 6x8's in the towers.

I also have a 2x 12 1200w max sub system already here. (cheap)

6.5's. I think you get better sound out of round speakers all around.

6.5's sound like the plan then, plus it would probably be easier to replace locally if it were to go out some how.

any preferences to what speaker set I should go with from the ones I listed, or are they all about the same? (my local car audio shops suck...well the 2 I checked out anyway....no speakers set up for demo)

Spend the extra $$$$ on better front speakers. Rears are much less important for sound and basically a filler. I've been a fan of Infinity for the price. Maybe Kappas in front and Reference in the rear. Or Alpine is good as well. I had Type R components that I loved for the price. Im not up on their series anymore, but same concept. Spend the extra dough for your fronts and do the economy line for the rears.
