Best 6X8 speaker

I'm about to purchase a pair of 6x8 for thr rear. I plan on running them of a pioneer cd deck, than eventually install a small amp. I think the CD player puts out i 50 watts. So i know if i get a higher end speaker, that i won't be able to tell the difference running off no amp. So i'm looking for a pair under $200.
I found some speakers but not sure how to read and understand the frequency.Example 53hz - 22 khz. When i look at other speakers do i go for a broader frequency. Like lower # then 53 hz and a larger # than 22 khz. ?

I know some good brands like MB quart, Diamond,ect..
They to have high and low quality of speakers. I plan on getting a pair of ebay and just trying ti learn how to find a good pair of mid's.

What do you think of this speaker unstead of a 6x8

those speakers are pretty nice.... check out http://www.audiobahninc.com/products...ies_range.html those are the ones I want to get. or just go to www.audiobahninc.com and look through all of their products. I'm going to run all Audiobahn when i get my car: DVD head unit, 5 1/4" door speakers, 6"x8" rear panel speakers, amps, subs, cap's, everything. Audiobahn is a great company and they make very high quality products.

btw, those speakers on ebay are still considered 6"x8"/5"x7" plate speakers. the size for speakers is universal terms, a 15" speaker might have 5" of foam/rubber surround on it making it only a 10" speaker, but it is still considered a 15" because of the full outer area.

There's really no such thing as best as sound is subjective. Good speakers help, but so is the quality of the install, the acoustics of your car, and the other components you're running. If I were you, I'd concentrate on getting front speakers that sound the best to you, is in your budget, and fits properly. Go to a local stereo shop and audition as many speakers as you can in their sound room. 90% of what you hear comes from the front so set up your front stage properly. Throw some decent coaxials in the rear panels for a little bass and rear fill, or forego them and put a sub in the trunk. If you do the latter, you won't be hearing the rear speakers anyway.

I'm not with you on that one, best sound for speakers would be a speaker with a flat response. what do you think makes a set of focal's sound better than the old 15 year old paper cone speakers that where in my 2nd Gen?

as with taste, a lot more that just the speakers will make a given person like or dislike the sound system. as a pair of $50 blaplunk coax may sound unbelievable in one car but change the HU and location they may sound off.

what i can say is that I think audio bahn makes a nice product. although i think they are more over priced than eclipse, who i also think has a grate product. the only thing that will not be eclipse in my car is a audio control digital EQ/X-over

What's your point? Sound *is* subjective. A lot of speakers have a flat response, yet, all of the speaker companies have engineers who have their own ideas on what sounds "good". Some speakers will simply sound better to *you* than others depending on your preferences. And please, how about a more fair comparison? Try comparing Focals to Dynaudio or Morel, or a/d/s, or Quarts, or Etons, or Adire Kodas, etc. They are ALL excellent speakers. To each their own.

That's what I just said, e.g., "...quality of the install, the acoustics of your car, and the other components you're running."

I personally don't care for Audiobahn products, but again, to each their own.
