3rd Gen Speaker Sizes?

Hi, I bought an amp for my 3rd gen and was wondering what speaker sizes the 93 RX-7 base model has for front and rear? I can safely ignore the center one right? I'm probably gonna install some dials there when I bridge port it anyway. Thanks.

front might be a 5-1/4 but you can fit a 6-1/2 the front speakers have to be shallow though or they will not fit without pushing the door panel out or hitting your window, the best speakers that i found that fit are eclipse se8365, that or if you just want something to get you by you can always get some crappy pioneer speakers,

You need to be less than 2.5" mounting depth for whatever size speaker to fit in the front, unless you can cut glass, as once its bigger than 2.5" the magnet hits the window. And dont think you can get away with 2.6" because you wont and i found it out the hard way.

Thanks guys. The reason I asked about it instead of searching was because I already had searched and I found conflicting information online. Some sites would say the rear is 5x7" and others would say 6x8", while some would say front 5.25" and others 6.5". Thanks for your responses.

Also, the "eclipse se8365" are only 40 RMS. Anyone recommend something in the 50-70 RMS range? Thanks.

rainbows sl 165, thats what i have in the rear, best sounding rear speaker i have ever heard, they are $180 from here http://www.iqcaraudio.com/rainbow/so...e_sl/index.htm
think they are rated at 80rms, they sound great, i have heard dynaudio, eton, cdt, morel, brax and i will stick with rainbow speakers any day of the week, i think a rainbow 3 way set is next for me on my speaker adventures. Heres a pic of my custom rear speaker application,

you could throw it in the storage bin, when i had my alpine d-310 i put the brain in it. Im going to build a custom amp rack for my butler tube amps in the rear.

I fit a pair of focal 6.5" V2 componets in my FD, and still use the stock grills and what not. For as coax wise I had some bostons in there and the sounded fine for a coax set up if thats all you'r going for.
