ˇwarning about plastic bonding spray paint!
this pissed me off!
first off, my interior is grey the doors are that cortroy and carpet combo and i wanna cover the top half with blak fabric, then to accent the black in the cockpit[i have Blk/gry S5 seats] i decided to paint a few things black;i.e. the door lock surounds, the idiot panel surround, the top vents that brake real easy.....and a few other things
[to the warning]
i go to walmart to buy top coat for my headlight cover and i see this "plastic bonding spray paint" it says it never peals or cracks and it works on leather vinel and plastic type matrial, it was sumthin like 7 bux. i went to use it this morning and it goes on okay, nice coverage, nice look to it......then it dried.....and the peices kind of spoted up in the original coloure but really crapy looking! so i figure i need another coat or two......i laid down about 7-8 on each peice, every single one turned out crapy as hell!!
so i have a stinky ugly interior till i paint it again

If it is drying white and hazy try putting a good couple coats of clear coat over it. I just got done painting the ENTIRE interior on my 85 GS. I have been using Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric paint. It turned out really well.... I think I know what you're talking about how the paint looks bad when it dries. I had problems with that myself when I was experimenting with the paint.
It looks really white and hazy when it dries, but if you put 4-5 coats of clear over it, it looks AMAZING! You might want to try playing with clear coat before you give up on your paint. Just a thought.....

You might take a look at this thread for painting interior pieces:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=168938
Granted it's 3rd gen interior, but the paints should work just as well for any plastic interior.

If it's hazing up. They call that "blushing" btw.
If thats your problem. Its caused by humidity in the air when your sparying. Either do them indorrs or wait till its really dry air to spray. Also make sure to aply the coats very thin. Heavy coats have a hard time curing well.
