Reputable Sellers?

How can a new member tell if a seller is repuatable?

Are there any feedback scores like eBay?

Thanks!

Right place, wrong title. I changed it for you and broke this post out of the thread you had placed it in.

The little number in the parentheses is called the iTrader score. That is the functional equivalent of eBay's feedback score and works the same way.......if buyers and sellers would just remember to use it for everything they bought and sold on this website.

The Good Guy and Bad Guy boards are also great places to review any particular Seller's storied histories using the Search engine for that board.

mar3 makes a great point. ^^^^^ if you're still somewhat unsure of purchasing items from forum members, may i suggest starting out with the regional forum classfieds. See where it goes from there.

You could also try personally contacting the seller, actually speaking with a person makes a big difference.

Really there are a few keys:
1) Request a phone number
2) See if they have any ebay feedback
3) If you use paypal, remember you have to file a claim ASAP! Never buy something using the gift option so a seller can avoid the fees. It removes any buyer protection.

I disagree. I sell alot of used parts, but I hate talking on the phone. Plus some people are very disrespectful with continuous calls. I handle all of my transactions on-line. I just really don't see how talking on the phone makes anything more secure.

Also, paypal protection is a joke. They don't even investigate claims that are outside of Ebay. To the OP, do yourself a favor and only buy from somone who has an earned reputation. Becasue once you send the money out, it is gone and there is very little anyone can do.

Paypal sucks *****! Seller first didn't ship the item so I filed a complaint. Seller finally shipped but the item was bootleg. Paypal didn't give a crap because they said my complaint was for a none shipped item. Tried to file another complaint but they said I could not file another complaint on the same item. WTF is that!
