Hi what is the time and/or post count to remove the 3 pm storage limit?

As a result of a recent spam attack through our PM system, we implemented a limitation to new member accounts. Brand new accounts are restricted from accessing the PM system at all. A new member must contribute two posts within the Community in order to unlock the Private Messaging system. Otherwise, they will not be able to send or receive PMs.

Our apologies for the inconvenience this may cause our new members.

 

That's helpful. I was wondering why I suddenly couldn't PM people anymore. Although I joined after this post was made and was able to PM a couple people.

 

Is there a place that lists all of the up to date restrictions and post count milestones for new members on this forum? Thanks.

So even though I have been a member for over 2 years, if no posts yet, can not use the PM feature?

The number of posts indicate the level of participation a member has in a forum. As stated in Post #2, a new member must contribute two posts within the Community in order to unlock the Private Messaging system. The tenure of time a member earned has no effect.

Since you have 2 posts now, the PM system is open for your use. If you have a problem with access to the PM system then let a moderator or admin know.

 

Okay, thanks. I was looking to talk with a moderator privately about something. I will try you to see if it works, if I can figure out where to access the PM function.

 

I still can’t PM even though I’ve sent at least 2 posts. What do I do?

Give it a try again. I reset your usergroup. And welcome to the forum.
