The other forums are the other forums and their stuff can stay there. We don't want any links to them. If you just have to share, you're going to have to copy and paste. We're not interested in the politics of the other boards or any of their supposed "tech" advice.

So, no, don't do it.

Just curious as to why..

I belong to multiple BMW forums and there are no issues with linking and cross talk.

Unless, of course, it's a situation like the audiworld to quattroworld exodus.

This website is a for-profit website now that its owned by a company called Internet Brands so they don't like anyone mentioning that there are alternatives to this website.

I figured...I noticed after I posted my question that the forum was owned by IB.

The Forum Vendors on this website pay to be here and to sell here. We're not going to allow competition to them to be linked here. So anything rotary is forbidden by the rules especially if they have their own vendors and a classifieds section.

That's who we're protecting, not IB.

Um, while those ads are paying to be here also, the AAA, TransUnion and Converse are not competitors to the Forum Vendors...

So can we mention non-rotary forums like neogaf or ferrarichat etc? Not trying to get banned, just want clarification if it's specifically not mentioning a rotary forums. Thank you

Of course. You can chat about your latest exploits on knittingforums.com, and no one will care. Really.

Perfectly fine as long as the content of that website is safe for family viewing and could be viewed at work w/o causing the viewer to be disciplined for graphic text or images.

I'll ban in such a situation as well.

This board is getting weirder and weirder as the years go by....
Honestly...

Aren't most of these vendors on those "other sites" as well?
Just food for thought

I wouldn't say that, this is still a good place to get good info and parts, even if the rules
have progressively altered over the years. I think the influx of new and old members
though has everyone trying to "herd cats" if there isn't a better way to say it. Idk, I've met
a lot of cool people, made a lot of friends, and met hundreds of dipshits.

So that being said, its like anywhere else in the world etc etc etc </rant>

I find it almost 2 faced to Use the forum but at the same time get on this forum and post up Dissatisfaction with the very forum that the person is on.

If you find the Forum "so Retarded".. R***ki (referring to Member, who's threads I just wiped as they contained NO relevant INFO to the thread),then maybe you should visit other Forums that suit your highly opinionated palate.
The remedy is easy..hit google,find other Forums..Done.

Honestly, you complain excessively here about the Forum's ways, but use the Forum for your own financial purposes?..and yep.free..
I guess even FREE is not good enough as it is considered "retarded".
Since you joined here 1/3 of your posts are Sales related. If that isn't" the Pot calling the Kettle black" I don't know what is.

Like Ehime Says.."herding Cats"..that is putting it mildly.
The old members just stick with the System, the threads, the info, the meets, the questions and answers.Do you ever hear them say,I hate to be here because I get TOO much HELP..?
The New guy wants to be "known" as the King, show his Ballsy car,use the FS Section to enhance his bulging egocentric pockets..BUT complain that The Forum Sucks, and that it should be Run "this way"..
Funny that the Forum was here First and you hopped on it to USE IT.
..and then you wonder why the Forum has rules....Priceless.

Actually not at all what I was getting at. 1/3 of my posts are indeed sales related. Why? To rid my garage, not to show my "bulging egocentric pockets". What a lot of people say is I hate being here because I get NO HELP. Anything problematic related to the motor 90% of the answers are "seals blew" "need to rebuild". The ONLY help I have ever gotten from this site is figuring out wheel offsets... Which is pathetic. And yes, there are other forums, which I'm sure this one has lost quite a few too.

Now it's a shot at administration?..Nice.,when confronted, point the finger at somewhere else. You sure the reason you can't find anything isn't just plain USER error?
.Yep gotta blame someone when you are surrounded by a Website FULL Of info and you just can't find a thing..

"What a lot of people say is I hate being here because I get NO HELP"

I wonder why??
It's a self serve site,People are not REQUIRED to help you.
It's nice if they do and if you respect the People around you, maybe they would actually help you.

Before this gets any further,The thread has been answered,so Let's just close it down.

If you are so concerned about the policies of this Forum or any actions of the Staff then by all means please Email the Administration. They would love to hear your suggestions and comments on how to make it more easier for you to abuse.I mean Use,my bad.
