how to use search function most effectively

I am need of a lot of different information, and ofcourse 99% of the time i post a quest everyones response "SEARCH RRRAAWWRRRR". I continuously attempt to use the search function be it in advanced setting or not but i can never get it to pull up ANY threads even remotely related to topics i am looking for. So i am asking for assistance in using this sites search function so i dont have to bother ever making a post again and pissing off everyone on here REPEATEDLY.

Thank you.

It's very often the user's fault.
I am sorry of the Function doesn't have the capabilities to Pull a Rabbit out of the hat,but Really I have been using it for 6 years without issue.
I just found Google..
The Key is Wording.
..and By the way,any "Pissing off everybody on here repeatedly" will be dealt with,so don't go think about going there.

thank you for the mature response to a perfectly legitimate question. I simply came on here to ask for help, and i get bashed more and threatened.

so don't go think about going there.
^ what does this even mean?

Look If its "operator error" then tell me how you search more efficiently. Thats all i am asking.
I mean what is the point in this area of the forum if it offers no direction or help while USING the forum.

I just told you.
The key is wording your Search so that the Key words can be found in Threads.
Sure its going to pop up 1000 threads but that is the Limitations of the Search function,It can't Pinpoint what you are looking for.You have to Skim through alot of Gorilla Poop to get to the peanuts.
You should at least know the Basics of Searching by now, seeing you have been on the Forum for 7 years. There is advanced search also.
If you can't find things by Search, then it has been suggested to Pop it in to Google using the Rx7club String as a heading.
Ie: Mazda RX7 | Owners, Parts, Repair, Performance, Mods, Wheels - RX7Club.com S4 afm wiring.
also if you look down below in this section there are some useful tip on how to use the Search with Google.
Try this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/how-use-boar...-808264/...and when I search,I wouldn't call it "efficiently" I would call it Determined..If it is Real important I classify it a Mission...never leave a thread unread.
I hope that helps you.

Thanks i guess i took some of your post as being sarcastic. believe me i would MUCH rather search and find answers than post and wait for answers anyways. i have been practicing a lot here the last hour or so lol.

Thank you

The searching on this forum surely can get annoying. There have been times where i type EXACTLY what the thread title was called but yet it ends up showing up on the 3rd page or something?

Say for example a thread title was "removing master cylinder" I will type that as is but yet it give me a bunch of random useless threads on the first few pages then pops up exactly what i typed on another page. I dont know who but someone needs to work on this.

Try to make sure you click search titles only and not search entire thread.

Sometimes you can do a custom google search to find things within a specific site. If you search advanced google search query you can probably find more info on that. I believe it would look something like "site:rx7club.com engines" it has been a while since I've used google for this purpose but I know a google search will uncover more information.

Filter the results, search titles only. "Use phrases in quotation marks" to find that exact workDing
