You cannot BUMP a Thread in any of the NEW section.
All threads are Equal here.
Besides it is ONE word and a lazy way to get a post!..
If you feel it is of the Utmost urgency to get a repluy to your question then you would be better off to get your post count up and post a question in the Specific Section( like Second Gen Specific) where Once your post count is adequate to access/post in that section, you should be able to post a thread without waiting. No moderating of threads in that section.

I felt it wasn't the appropriate section to post this question. I do however see bumps in classified sections on a lot of forums including this one. Thanks misterstyx again.

You can bump a thread if its been sitting for a while. Some people think its alright to go in and bump their thread four times a day though and that's a little out of line in my opinion. If I'm looking for something in the classifieds I will read all the threads for the past month to find what I need/want.

Ohh, bumping is just the act of posting at all. It "bumps" the thread back to the top of the list.
So you'll see, "bump", "ttt"- to the top, "GLWS" which is just good luck with sale but typically a free bump also.
Some people will go in and do it to keep their listing at the top though, that's what I meant.
If you were asking because it says bump, that's because they just typed it, its not a special function or anything.
