about how long does it take
Color splash, bolded...
If it's missing a Location Icon or the location is not in the thread title, it will never get approved.
If it has the Location Icon but there are no prices and it says, "Make me offers", it will never get approved.
If it has the Location Icon, parts with prices but says, "Selling for my Father, brother, Aunt and/or friend", it will never get approved.
If it has the Location Icon, parts with prices, says nothing about selling for others but says, "If using PayPal, then add 3% for fees", it will never get approved unless you agree for that text to be removed, see PayPal rule 4.6 for clarification of legal obligations of Sellers using the PayPal services.
If it has the Location Icon, parts with prices, says nothing about selling for others or extra monies for PayPal fees, then it will get approved anywhere from 2 seconds to 2 days after submission....though we've gotten a bit better so it's now usually by the End of the Business Day/Night of submission. No promises, though, we're the definition of a skeleton crew working through the moderated classifieds ads.
Finally, if it's a Part Out ad, all of the above apply and, ADDITIONALLY, there must be at least 15 specific parts for sale at a minimum, EACH with a price....or it will never get approved.

I personally require a steady flow of Spiced Rum. Please adorn the bottles with sharpie art and glued on googly eyes.
Once I have had a satisfactory amount, then I shall consider your request.
