Wiring E11V2, Need help!!! (RX7) FD
I'm in the process of wiring an E11V2 on a RX7 FD. As far as the main ECU wiring to all the sensors I'm fine with. What I'm not sure of is how to integrate the existing wiring harness to work all the gauges and auxiliriry switches like Oil pressure switch, oil level sensor, coolant level sensor, fan switch and so on. Part of the old harness has integrated the neutral switch, knock sensor, powerstering pressure and so on. What I'm not sure is if you need the wiring that connects under the transmission. I can't find in the FD Manual what wires are associated with the white and blue connectors that hook up under the passenger fire wall. Has anybody installed this type of ECU into an FD?
I appreciate the help.
Aldo.

the oil pressure, water temp are very simple to hard wire. the gas gauge should work fine. the speed signal will require a pinout to the plug on the back of the cluster. and the rpm will most likely not work again. with haltech installs ive made everything but the tach work.

Wiring Sensors
What inputs did you guys use for the following components:
Coolant Level Sensor:
Oil Level Sensor:
Coolant thermo Switch
Purge Valve:
BAC:
There is timed input, PWM, Auxiliary,
Also, I downloaded the latest firmware for my computer. My ECU is asking to update the firmware to 1.51. I can't seem to find the file to update the ECU. Anybody have any ideas?

A lot of the sensors you mentioned are part of the alternator harness. The gearbox sensors are part of the engine harness. Look at the wiring diagram manual -it's all there.
JSP john: Do you have the pullup on the E11 tach channel set to 12v? If you're using an ECU that doesn't have one, you can 'T' in a 12v signal with a 3k resistor to generate the pulse.
Speedo: Easy, trace the wires to X-14 on the emissions connector located in the pas kick panel and run them directly to the speedo sensor on the side of the transmission (big fat sensor sticking out of the side of the tail section of the gearbox). If your car is in pieces like mine and road testing it isn't an option, you can check your work by removing the gear from the sensor, connecting the sensor axle to a drill and spinning it with the ign ON.
Analog inputs:
Coolant Level Sensor
Oil Level Sensor
PWM:
Purge Valve
Coolant Thermo switch -if this is the FAN it's a PWM.
Don't remember what a BAC is.

Sensors
I really appreciate the information. I just wanted to double check everything making sure that I wire it correctly.
BAC is Idle control valve.
