Yeah I have cable, I believe I have 3 laptop with 96 and 98 on them.

But I feel your pain the PS1000 is kicking my ***, the E6K was so much easier to use, well in my opion.

i started to copy over Brians map inot my map....i got all ignition done ...setup etc.
I got fuel done up to 3000 rpm....it was 8 pm
so stopped and decided to start car....VOOOOM she startred so easy..even idled for about 3 min before it died
it smoking alot still which worries me, but i dont have intercooler pipe hooked up..so i dont want to take fuel away......
could smoke issue be turbo? maybe rich oil gas mix..which i did do by mistake..
but willl a rich oilgas cause that much smoke?
i am goign to add pure fuel to thin it down today...

but hey car starts..I am goign to finish up fuel map today and see how she runs then

Don't forget all of your correction maps as well. I don't notice much of a difference with or without IC piping, but that all depends on where you reference your MAP sensor from.

the smoke is more likely then not what is left of the fuel you said was comin out your tailpipe. i had an FC flood sooooooper bad on me cuz of leaky injectors an it musta smoked for a good half hour once i got it to fire. if u have a presilencer or cat its prolly full.

i hope so....would hate to reach this far now to find out the garrett is blown....no oil coming out of cold side...I know i mixed gas too rich in oil though..
Fritzz I copied over the map from brian exactly...except fuel ...which i am damn close to his curve...i am heading out to finish up from 3500 to 10500 now....
the only bad is my MAP sensor seems to be a 2 bar as this settin gives me the closest reading to zero with engine off...........Brians MAP was for 3 bar...which i thought this was...
what do you guys think i need to do to compenate this? and value changes? or should i just continue this way up to 15 psi and work it after on the dyno?
my timing is still curved down to 2 degrees at 15psi like brians map is..

There's no "compensation" for change of map sensor. It changes the entire map everywhere. It'd have to be completely re-done. If you don't use a 3bar MAP sensor, you should be. If you don't have a 3bar MAP sensor, go buy one, wire it up, and use a vacuum source off of the surge plenum on the UIM that's close to the throttle body. Do NOT use an intake manifold (upper or lower) vacuum source that hangs off of one of the runners as it will be very pulsy to the sensor. The maps I make are for 3BAR and will only properly work with that.

Make sure you copy EVERYTHING over including Main Setup, Fuel Setup, Ignition Setup, Cranking ignition and fuel primer, air temp and water temp correction : Everything.

2*BTDC at 15psi? Mine is nowhere near that retarded. Get a 3bar MAP sensor and don't dork with a 2bar. Don't screw with the map itself. Keep the data you've inputted but change the MAP sensor to a 3bar.

gottcha Brian.......
I am working on a older laptop right now to actually put your MAP right in....for now though i am using my long method....and just tring to get ti running and starting ok..
so far it seems to work.....but i am using simple logic in my compensation...making map as smooth as possible....I used all your set values..and option except crank angle numbers..I used 3 instead of 11 since this was best for me to get timming locked at perect mark line up.
i wrote down all your info then transferred it to my MAP...

One question I am very curious about? why is it that some of my BARS are sticking...sometimes BAR 10 wont move and the second to last BAR i think it is 31? they seem very **** to stciking high or low but not moving inot middle range..I tried input it numerically still same issue...is it my Haltech or is it my laptop/ connection...
I dont think it will be too uch trouble since i got it very close , but there are those annoying spikes in just about 3 of the rpm ranges....

cheers for all the help you guys..Frittzs, Brian, and you canadian..LOL (talksick) and claudio of course too
