Tuning a noob
I just got my car running. it is turbo but i've got it running N/A while i first start braking in the motor. I've got it to hold a pretty constant 13:1 AFR everywhere on the map thus far, even at idle. if it rev it up it'll come back to idle pretty good but if I rev it up and keep it off idle for more then a couple seconds, the rpm will come down and then stall.
like i said I've got it holding a pretty solid idle at 1000rpm but if i change the AFR from 13:1 either up or down it stalls. so playing with the zero- throttle map didn't help at all. i'm pretty well stumped.
on a positive note it pulls pretty good for not going 100% throttle or over 4000 rpm.

i would disable the zero throttle map unless you need it, seems guys only need it for extreme porting for the most part
possibly a vaccuum leak? i dont know if its normal but my haltech seems to sort em out, idle speed changes but there isnt really any idle surge to indicate the leak, i blew a vac nipple right off an only change was 200 rpm higher rock steady idle, but it would stall on occassion pullin up to stops n such.
air temp compensation map? possible longer revs are changing the intake temp an bumpin u on to a mis tuned chunk of the compensation map (i only ask this cuz of the adventure of settin the coolant temp correction for start up)
is your tps signal clean? i had a tps that would jump and activate the throttle pump compensator so it would jump rapidly (0-24--0-24-0-24 as example, a 20 point change activating compensation) an flood itself out, youd prolly notice that tho, its not a mellow stall
those are my best guesses anyway, im ultra noob an prolly way off, at the same time mines runnnin magically well so i must be doin somethin right. props to your engine building skills, despite the learning curve it survived and is pulling hard. u ever need a refrence lemme know

I did notice my air temps topped out at 48*C sitting in the garage with the hood off. I Eliminated the boost factor by replacing a charge pipe with with an air filter thus producing the N/A i mentioned, so rather then pulling air from under the headlight it was pulling air from above my rad.
I put the charge pipe back on so i shouldn't see air temps as high. TPS seemed to stay exactly as my foot intended. I played with the throttle pumps and seems to work well but i could play with them more. but i don't think it is a factor of my stalling as i takes a bit from the last time i press the throttle to the time is stops turning.
more food for thought that i will work with to see what happens. glad to hear that motor is working for you. I'll be playing out and about for some time so i'll hope to catch you on the road.

she works!!
I'm guessing is was the air temps were killing it. 49*C with the filter on the compression tube to 30*C with the filter under the headlight and that's parked with an ambient temp of 18*C.
and i was able to find a vacuum leak, under the intake mani somewhere so i'll have to play with that some.
man i'm so glad that she finally is running, now if my insurance would stop pissing around.
