strange start issue out of nowhere..
friday i finished re-wiring a haltech e6k. started the car up no problems, let it idle for a long while and everything was great. (motor has about 100 miles on it). left it at the shop for the weekend, come in today and go to fire it up and the battery is pretty much dead. cranked over slowly and probably flooded it out a little.
i pulled the plugs, turned the injectors off, spun it over.. put brand new plugs in and a new battery. go to spin it over and it will turn over a couple times (fast) and then back spin as if the timing is waaay off, YET i have changed nothing in the map.
seems maybe there is a lot of fuel still caught up in the chambers?
any ideas?

But also, make sure your cold starting parameters, ie. coolant correction, airtemp, fuel maps, timing map, etc, are dialed in properly.

that's how it is acting honestly... sooooo fuggin weird! i have absolutely never seen this happen except on 12a's when the distributor is off a tooth.
thing is, i put a little oil down the chambers and it almost fired up. it's still acting like it's super flooded and worse like i said the motor isn't anywhere near being broken in yet hahaha.
i'll try some stuff in the morning. thanks guys!

I've seen it happen a few times, and it was surprising also.
I don't suppose you're working in an area with heavy microwave or radar frequencies?
The last time this happened was because I was working on a car that was close to an airport...
