Sprint re wiring

Looking to wire up my Sprint RE. Everything is pretty much straght forward. just have a few questions about wiring up the Full Function Engineering crank trigger. i have the Mag 2 wire sensor with it to work with the sprint RE and just need info on how to wire it in. Other question is how to wire in the AEM smart coils. Didnt know if they wired in like the typical ls1 coils, i think i read somewhere where i had to hook up the 3 grounds straight to the neg batt terminal, pos switched power and signal from ecu. any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Ok found the info i needed, figured id post it for everyone to see. For the FFE mag style 2 wire sensor you use the trigger gray cable (not the gray with black stripe) that has the 4 smaller wires inside and you connect the yellow wire to pin 2 green wire to pin 1. Like ive searched and seen several times MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT YOUR COILS WHEN YOU POWER UP YOUR ECU AND MAKE ECU INITIAL CHANGES. Heard of so many people frying coils.

With the IGN-1A coils (AEM smart), the pinout its:

A - trigger
B - engine ground
C - engine ground
D - battery negative
E - battery positive

It's important to properly connect pins B, C, and D for proper operation of the coil. Don't take shortcuts here.

Hope Im not hijacking the thread here, but I have a related question about crank angle hookup on the sprint RE. Although I have not got my RE yet (and I will probably be getting it through you Ludwig, along with the aem coils) Ive been studying the diagrams.

On hooking up a Turbo II CAS, I understand the Home+/- and Trigger +/-, but do I need to do anything with the switched 12v and ground that is grouped together with these in the sheilded cables??? what are these intended for, there is no mention of their hookup in the quick start guide.

And is there a Full Manual available online? other than the quick start guide. I have not found one.

Can you hook me up on a deal if I order that Sprint RE and 4 coils together??

The power and ground in the trigger cables is for use with Hall sensors. With the stock VR sensors you do not use those wires and you will trim them back and insulate them so that they don't short to anything.

The full manual is in the software. Download the software and click on the help tab.

Hit me up with a PM and I'll price everything out for you. We're not supposed to advertise pricing below a minimum that Haltech sets. So everything you see online should be the same price. There are rather well known shops violating this requirement though. Funny thing is, there "sale" price is still higher than what we normally sell our systems at to forum members.
