I have them, but shipping from Aust to US will make it uneconomical for you. For the time being you can use your stock sensor and it wont read out by more than a few degrees.

The sensor output characteristics are only off by 10% - 15% at the most.&nbsp The coolant temp map is just a compensation map; it is by no means absolute.&nbsp Basically, what this implies is that you can ignore the numbers at the bottom of the map, but it'll still work fine.&nbsp If you feel this is "wrong", you got a lot to learn about what this all means.

ok maybe the "doing it ryte the first time" was a bad choice of words. i didn't mean to say that it was wrong to use the stock one. i just DONT want my coolant temp sensor to be off by that 10-15% just cause i'm **** bout it.

The sensor comes from a Holden Commodore VS. Not exactly a common car outside Aus. Haltech USA should have them. I have used the stock sensor on FC's and FD's and the difference is only a coupe of degrees. I really would not worry that much about it. You should be able to find a GM car that uses the same sensor. Also try some of the Buick V6 motors.

I've seen alot of requests for smaller sensors or sensors that fit in the stock location..
I had a a 3/8 angle drill and some stubby drill bits which made the haltech sensor install a 3 minute affair.. some of the sensors do not have to be redrilled though, some can be tapped from their original size..Max

You might try (as much as I cringe at the thought) Saturn. I know that J&S uses a knock sensor from them with a metric thread that is basically a standard GM unit otherwise. I imagine that the other sensors are also metric.
