serial port configuration

Hi, I would like to know if I have to mess with serial port setting of the laptop to communicate with the e6k. I mean configuring the baud rate, the parity, etc. Cause normally you have to configurate it to be able to contact a device. If I have to I would like to know to which values I need to set my com port.

Thanks!

Alex

nope, it's dos software, it sets up the serial port when it runs to what it needs to be for the e6k to talk with it. The only think you need to know is which com port your cable is connected to in case you have to change it in the dos software.

You're right. I worked on my car today and I have been able to connect to the e6k without changing settings.
