question about staging.

in the e6x, and the staging setup in the maps, how do the injectors fire?

do the primaries completely go offline and the 1600's go online? is it a smooth transition or is it a sudden transition?

the primaries fire first... then, when the load crosses the staging point all injectors fire...

tuning a smooth transition thru the staging points takes a lot of fine tuning especially in the light accleration and cruising zones

Correct. That's why fuel curves on alot of the base maps downloaded here look like two ramps; a shorter one for about the first 11-13 load bars (with a vertical, dotted line shortly thereafter) then a longer one. The primaries are on only in this first ramp. At the staging point, they are brought down and fired in batch with the secondaries. Staging on the older systems is quite difficult as Bastard has mentioned when using large secondaries like 1680's.
