PS1000 or upgrade to elite?
Hey everyone ive got a new ps1000+wiring that I purchased from a member here years ago. And Im finally getting around to rebuilding and upgrading my fc.
Before I start wiring it in, Im wondering if I should just upgrade to an elite 1500 instead. The only reason for my doubts on the ps1000, is due to a project i recently finished. My ls swapped brz, In which I used an elite 2500. The wiring was fine, and the tunability with the software was great( my first time tuning with haltech ever).
Ive never tuned a vehicle with a PS ecu or even looked at the software. Are there major updates for things like engine safety, control, and general ease of tuning with an elite?
The elite prices for an FC arent terrible, and I could probably still get a decent amount back from selling the ps kit.
For those who maybe had a ps1000 and went to elite 1500, was it worth the money?

if you've already learned the elite software, then imo, you should just get one of those. the PS was totally different.

10-4I finally found the time to play around with the old platinum ecu software. I also noted a few major things that I'm unable to do in the esp software that will probably persuade me to just buy an elite 1500. Unless I'm blind I, don't see a way to change the injector settings per stage. Plus a complete loss to even stage the injectors if I want to tune via volumetric efficiency (which was my plan). These two issues amongst other beneficial upgrades, have convinced me to buy an elite. I guess this whole thread was pointless as I answered my own question but may slightly help someone in the future hah. Apparently the elite should connect into the harness I have for the PS anyways with a few pin changes.

when tuning in MS you dont have a flow rate only a dead time.,
there is 5 or 6 wires you need to move and a few you need to add but its simple and should only take 30min to do the changes needed
