OMP Max and Min values
Calling anyone who has an electronic OMP (any electronic OMP) functional on their Haltech.
I'm wondering if people wouldn't mind doing me a favour, and helping me collect data for a project:
1. What are your max & min values for the feedback sensor from the OMP?
2. Which OMP are you running? S5, S6, S7, S8, Cosmo, 20B, Denso/Mikuni, etc. Any information you could give me is helpful.
Reason being, I've designed and built a PWM driven OMP controller. It is fully functional and includes full PID feedback sensing, error detection, and a number of other features people may find useful. It requires only one ECU output, and is fully functional with an S5 OMP.
Before I can offer it however, I need to get a larger sample size of what the feedback sensor is reporting on a variety of OMPs. For example, the feedback voltage min/max I've seen online for S6 OMPs is slightly different from that of S5 OMPs. I only have an S5 OMP on-hand, and while I'm working on getting my hands on an S6, any of the other versions would be difficult and expensive to obtain. It may also vary slightly from unit to unit within the same series, and it will not be practical for the end-user to edit these settings so I will need to find an average.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Chris.
EDIT: Thinking out-loud here, I may be able to just write a function to auto-range on startup. Data would still be helpful but may not be necessary after all.
EDIT EDIT: Because I'm chronically incapable of sitting still, auto-ranging is completed. The controller will now automatically find both the upper and lower limit and map them. Any info people can provide on their OMPs and their limits would still be appreciated.
