Arrow OEM To IGN-1A Coils with PS1000

Hello Folks.

I need some advice. Currently running PS1000 with stock coils on my FC. Car is all tuned making 350hp at 15psi... My question is, if I need to upgrade my coils to IGN-1A Smart Coils should I have to get the car retuned or is it as simple as changing some settings in the software...... Any help will be greatly appreciated.....

You shouldn't need a re-tune, but its never a bad idea. you will have to change some settings in the software as the stock ignition is wasted spark and the IGN1A coils are direct fire.

Ignition: direct fire
spark edge: falling
dwell mode: constant charge
base dwell: 4.5ms

the main difference is the wiring. did you purchase an ignition harness for the new coils or make your own?

there are multiple vendors that offer a kit with the wiring harness and everything you need that will save you alot of time. Sakebomb Garage has a nice kit with everything you need.

you can also do the wiring yourself if you are proficient with making harnesses.

You could probably figure out a way to re-purpose the existing wiring, but it would probably be better to make up a sub harness.

Here's the diagram of how I did it
