Haltech No Tach since Haltech Instal
No Tach since Haltech Instal
Leading and trailings are firing. I've used a different factorty tach and still the tach doesn't work. Is this a Haltech issue or maybe just 2 bad tachs or a bad circuit board on the guage cluster.
I do not use the factory oil, temp, or boost gauges so they are disconected. Could this cause the tach to not work in some wierd way?
Any ideas would be helpfull.
Thanks

his profile says 88TII. The coils should have a wire sticking out (mine is yellow) with a female connector(black) on the end. This is a signal for an aftermarket tach or service tach.
tach prob
after putting an e6k on my 88t2 my tach wouldnt work either w/ or w/o the factory ecu.
i never really found out why but if you want an alternitive to tracing the source:
cut the tacho wire leaving the back of the cluster(look at a schematic i cant remember the color) and run a single wire 14g-16g should do to the femaile bullet plug on the leading coil (up by headlight).
this plug was initailly designed for hooking up a tach to do engine work but i've had mine hard wired for almost a year and it works great
good luck
