no spark

ok any way here it goes. the car was idling and i was waiting for her to warm up and i give it a little rev to like 3k then it just falls all the way to 0. nothing crazy just died. the car has been running great the week before this. car didnt start back up right away and when it did it sounded like it was running on one rotor. so i pull the plugs, wet with gas... sweet! so here is what i check

pull plugs out and press them against frame, no spark.
all the plugs are in good shape.
replace leading and trailing coils (stock, with mazdatrix wires)
check all fuses
open up halwin, the haltech is seeing trigger events. they add up steadily as i crank. it is seeing a 200-300 rpm range while cranking.
battery voltage is 11.97
i pulled of the plug at the coil and checked for any voltage on both prongs. yes they are both getting some sort of voltage while cranking.

pull the plugs out still and hold them against a known good ground, NOTHING!!

what could be wrong with it... i was thinking it might be my power/driver side harness but as they are getting voltage i dont think that would be it. but it is not in the greatest shape. but that doesnt explain why it just randomly happened when the car was running.

help!

thanks-
carlos

i noticed you are using a haltech. it would be better to post this in the haltech section of this forum.

Hello, this is the haltech sectino of the forum, isnt it?? the battery voltage should be fine if you're getting more than 180 RPMs at cranking. Do you have a wideband? what kind of AFR readings where you getting when it was running good? how old are your plugs? how's your compression?

no wideband, it does not turn on, but when it was it was a nice 12 ish at idle i think.
plugs are about 4 trips old
dunno about the compression but that cant effect the plugs when they are pulled and held against the frame.

does any one happen to know how many volts the ignition curcuit puts out? so i can trigger the coils by myself, as to test them again.

i have reloaded the firmware and maps checked to make sure every thing was as it should be but still no dice.
i have also check the wiring harness it is still in good shape no messed up wire or any thing.

Problem was fixed by replacing the defective plugs with new ones.
